Use in adults and elderly: The recommended dose is 50mg taken as needed approximately one hour before sexual activity. Based on efficacy and toleration, the dose may be increased to 75mg or 100mg, or decreased to 25 mg. The maximum recommended dose is 100 mg. The maximum recommended dosing frequency is once per day. Viagra cannot be used by persons below the age of 18 years of age.
Each tablet contains 100mg of Sildenafil (Sildenafil Citrate).
Calcium Hydrogen Phosphate Anhydrous, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Copovidone, Croscarmellose Sodium, Magnesium Stearate, Saccharin Sodium, Indigo Carmine Aluminium Lake (E132).
Side Effects of Viagra
With any medication you take, there is always a risk of side effects. Some are more common than others, and often side effects may subside with the regular usage of the medicine. If the side effects do not subside, you should report them to us, or your GP.
Common Side Effects
- Headaches
- Flushing
- Runny/stuffed nose
- Upset stomach
- Nausea
- Red and/or warm skin
- Dizziness
- Diarrhoea
- Nose-bleeds
- Muscle pain/Back Pain
The side effects listed below are more serious, and you should stop taking Viagra, and report these to your GP immediately.
- An erection that will not go away (priapism). If you have an erection that lasts more than 4 hours, seek medical help immediately. Priapism can permanently damage your penis.
- Sudden vision loss in one or both eyes. Sudden vision loss in one or both eyes can be a sign of a serious eye problem called non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION). Stop taking Viagra and call your healthcare provider right away if you have sudden vision loss in one or both eyes.
- Sudden hearing decrease or hearing loss. Some people may also have ringing in their ears (tinnitus) or dizziness. If you experience these symptoms, stop taking Sildenafil and contact a doctor right away.
