The band of girls of Russia and Ukraine VIA Gra (known out of these countries like Nu Virgos) is characterized by three principal characteristics:
– Versatility in your components: the girls are changing depending on the years and your availability. Sometimes it are a trio and others a duo. Girls who had been in the band years ago return years later. Few bands are of this type!
– Though the girls change … always there is a principal clause: always they are the most prettiest girls!
– And the third one and more importantly … always there is quality in your songs. It is not a band of pretty girls and anything any more… Many people of your components are genial artists: they have studies of piano, of singing or of theatre.
From the year 2000 up to the current importance the group VIA Gra has gained successes and prizes year after year. From the initial duo formed by Nadezhda Granovskaja and Alena Vinnitskaya up to the current trio, all the work has been possible by Dmitriy Kostyuk and Konstantin Meladze. Kostyuk is the manager of the group and the co-producer of the group’s albums. Meladze is the writer of the group’s songs and the co-producer of the group’s albums. Without Konstantin’s work this had not been possible.
In my personal opinion the best moment of the band was in the years 2003-2004, when the band was formed by Anna Sedukova, Vera Brezhneva y Nadezhda Granovskaja by romantic songs as “Ne ostavlyay menya, lyubimiy” (Don’t leave me, beloved) or “Prityazhenya bolshe net” (No attraction anymore) together with Valerij Meladze.
And certainly, it is not possible to forget the best powerful song and techno hit of the band, “LML” in the year 2006 with the girls Vera Brezhneva, Olga Romanovskaya and Albina Dzhanabaeva . The video clip that accompanies this song is futurist, very difficult to do and very interesting of meditating. I never get tired of seeing it!.
Video clips of high budget and difficulty together with a good international projection of the band -3 albums in Russian, 2 albums in English and 3 compilations + DVD video clips- and the professionalism of the diverse girls has been the secret of the band up to the current importance.
The band in period 2008-2010 is formed for: Nadezhda Granovskaja (1982, Ukraine) -She goes 7 years in the band in diverse periods-, Albina Dzhanabaeva (1979, Russia) -from the year 2004- and Tania Kotova (1985, Russia) -since 2008, Miss Russia 2006-.
Since 2010 the Ukrainian “Stars Factory” participant Eva Bushmina (1989) has replaced Tania Kotova who left at that time to start a solo career and currently (January 2011) the band members are Nadezhda, Albina and Eva.
