Is it safe to take Viagra or Kamagra and Red Bull together?
Kamagra as well as Viagra is a prescription medicine originally designed as an anti-angina medication, because it opens up the arteries and increases blood flow to the heart. However, it has ultimately been discovered that the medication also increases blood flow to other parts of the body, including the penis. And now, it is commonly used in the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) and impotence in men, increasing blood flow down there and thus, obtaining and maintaining an erection when sexually aroused or stimulated.
Viagra has gained some serious street reputation as a super pill to increase sexual performance. Mix that with Red Bull or any other energy drink and you’ll keep going all night. This has been the common belief among men for years, but is it really safe to take those two together? Here’s what you should know.
How does it work?
The active ingredient in Kamagra or Viagra is called sildenafil and the dose ranges from 25 mg to 100 mg per tablet. Keep in mind that it does not cause an erection alone. It should be taken with some form of sexual stimulation, whether visual, tactile or otherwise in order for an erection to occur. The effect of this medicine varies from person to person, so it is the length of time it lasts in one’s system.
But in general rule, Kamagra is thought to start working in most people from around 30 minutes after taking the pill and work for 2 to 5 hours at a time.
What are its side effects?
Like any other drug, Kamagra has some side effects as well, although most men will not experience any. If side effects do occur they are generally mild and brief. They include the following:
Headache Nausea Indigestion Nasal congestion Facial flushing Visual symptoms such as redness, pain or sensitivity Muscle aches Blocked or a runny nose Ringing in the ears or dizziness.
Is it okay to take drugs like Kamagra or Viagra and Red Bull together?
There are limited studies about the adverse reaction between Red Bull and Kamagra, but the energy drink has been under scrutiny because of its potential health risks like heart palpitations, convulsions, hypertension and even death. Denmark, Norway, and France initially declined to approve it for sale within their borders, citing health concerns over the high level of caffeine. While the ban was later on lifted due to lack of evidence, the issue of Kamagra and Red Bull is still a bit blurry to date.
If you’re drinking Red Bull for the sake of energy, there are healthier sources out there and we recommend you opt for them until more scientific evidence surfaces. Eat smart and exercise if necessary but don’t consume the drug inappropriately.
What are the other don’t do?
What we do know is Kamagra as well as Viagra shouldn’t be partnered with Alcohol. Alcohol is a minor vasodilator which could enhance the effect of Kamagra regarding the blood pressure, dropping it to a dangerous level. Such is also the case for those taking nitrate medications for chest pain or heart problems. Doing so could result to drop in blood pressure, possibly leading to a heart attack or stroke.
Fatty food is a big NO as well. Too much fat means more bad cholesterol and abundant amounts of Omega-6 acids. This could lead to obesity which makes erectile dysfunction a reality even for sexually healthy men. Fats also significantly slow down the effect of Viagra, making erection harder to achieve.
There’s a reason why Sildenafil is a prescription drug, so of course, don’t take it without your doctor’s approval. If you choose to routinely take it for recreational purposes, you may find yourselves in a situation where you become dependent on the medication to get an erection, eventually causing ED.
