The Central Coast is conveniently located 1/2 way between Sydney and Newcastle, (1hour from each) and has miles of serene, uncrowded beaches as well as some the nicest, family-friendly beaches anywhere. CCSS uses these beaches to great advantage, offering lessons at:

Umina/Ocean Beach

A protected bay that rarely gets large swells and offers arguably the most ideal conditions for learning to surf. Look for our white and blue, Learn to Surf trailer in the Umina Beach surf club car park at the end of Ocean Beach Road, Umina Beach.

Avoca Beach

A more open beach that can all but guarantee waves 365 days a year and some of the best surfing on the coast and a great place to learn. Meet at our white and blue, Learn to Surf trailer in the Avoca Beach surf club car park, Vale Avenue, Avoca Beach.

Terrigal Beach

Another open beach which regularly offers ideal learning conditions. Meet at our white and blue, Learn to Surf trailer in the Terrigal Beach surf club car park, Terrigal Drive, Terrigal Beach.

With support from Creatures of Leisure Rip Curl and Banana Wax it’s time to jump head-on into term 1. This is the best time to book your spot in the best“learn to surf”program with the most experienced team of instructors in the area. Soft boards, wetsuits, rash vests and sunscreen are included.

Regular weekend group lessons are available at Avoca, Terrigal and Umina and as always, private lessons can be booked for any day at the same beaches. Corporate days and birthday parties are also popular in the coming months, so be sure to let your party planner know about this fun and exciting option.

CCSS offers a range of lesson options, from one-on-one private tuition to large-group corporate functions and birthday parties to technique analysis and heat tactics. Set out below is a list of what is available at Avoca, Umina and Terrigal Beaches.

Venues and times pre-organised by us, usually weekends. Group lessons run with a maximum student/instructor ratio of 8:1 and cost $50p.p. or you can purchase a block of 3 group lessons for $120.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES/BUCKS’ AND HENS’ DAYS/CORPORATE EVENTS ETC

We can cater to any special event you want to throw at us. Prices vary according to numbers, $45p.p. for the first 10, $35p.p. for the next 10 and $25 for each extra. Do your people need a team building experience? We can design a program to suit your office/team requirements.

Touring professional surfer, Glenn Hall, puts his analytical mind to work to help you find that bit extra in your surfing. Weekly sessions are held focusing on technique development and improvement and heat strategy. If your surfing feels stale or you are looking for an edge in competition, join us and see the difference a few sessions will make. One-on-one private lessons @ $100 for a 1hour session, or $300 buys you 4 private lessons. These can be catered to your requirements, i.e. when and where. SEMI-PRIVATE – Just you and a mate or two. For $80 p.p. you can enjoy a personal lesson with family members or friends, or $200p.p. buys you 3 semi-private lessons. And again, when and where you prefer.
